Stroke of Realisation
In this compelling (and very funny!) 20 minute speech, brain scientist Jill Bolte Taylor explains how she came to realise that we are all connected in a universe of conscious energy. She gained the awareness of this state of oneness during a massive stroke, as one by one all her left brain functions shut down.
Fully conscious of her stroke as it happened, she experienced the expansive reconnection with the world around her; a state she equates with Nirvana.
Dr. Taylor tells us how our brains can limit and define our experience, and also reconnect us to the world and to one another.
